SALARY & TERMS:
Grade 7 – £32, 277 (49,706 USD) to £37,394 (57,586 USD) per annum
Open Ended contract subject to fixed term funding. Funding is available from
1 October 2015 for up to 4 years 8 months
JOB SUMMARY:
The newly formed Complex Reviews Support Unit (CRSU) is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The CRSU is a multi-centre collaboration between the University of Glasgow, University of Leicester and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The CRSU focuses on providing flexible, timely and appropriate response to specific requests, to support successful delivery of the complex systematic reviews that are funded and/or supported by NIHR.
In this position you will provide methodological advice and support primarily on diagnostic test accuracy reviews and associated methodology (including, but not limited to, use of individual participant data and/or network meta-analysis methods), and creating and delivering bespoke training courses.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience required:
Relevant Masters-level qualification (e.g. medical statistics, health economics, health services research) or prior relevant work experience (e.g. quantitative health);
PhD or equivalent experience; knowledge of principles and methods of systematic review, meta-analysis, and study designs used in health, public health or social care research; experience of delivering work to agreed deadlines and undertaking data analysis using statistical software packages (e.g. R, Stata).
