Diderot Mathematical Forum 2016: Biomedical Applications of Mathematics

The cycle of conferences “Diderot Mathematical Forum” was introduced by the European Mathematical Society in 1996. Each conference takes place simultaneously in three dfferent European cities, exchanging information in streaming videos,. The Diderot Mathematical Forum addresses each time a specific topic, and has both a research and a public component. 

This year the Forum is devoted to  “Biomedical Applications of Mathematics” , the chosen locations will be Paris, Madrid and Milan.

The event is organized by the Raising Public Committee of the European Mathematical Society.

General organizers: Mireille Chaleyat-Maurel, Silvia Benvenuti, and Roberto Natalini.

Locations

France: Laboratoire MAP5, Université Paris Descartes, Paris (organizers: Etienne Birmelé, Annie Raoult).

Plenary speaker: Marie Doumic Jauffret
Spain: Aula Miguel de Guzmán, Facultad de Matemáticas, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (organizers: Antonio Gómez-Corral; Miguel Ángel Herrero).

Italy: MOX, Dipartimento di Matematica, Politecnico di Milano (organizers: Luca Formaggia, Davide Ambrosi).

Plenary speaker: Alfio Quarteroni

All the conferences will be broadcasted via a streaming video. The correct links for the streaming of the conferences we will be published some days before the event on the page and in a further press release.
