Biostatnet Workshop on Biomedical (Big) Data
November 26 and 27, 2015
This is a call for contributed oral and poster presentations for the BIOSTATNET Workshop on Biomedical (Big) Data, an initiative of the Catalunya-BIO and Catalunya-SEA nodes of the Spanish Biostatistics Network Biostatnet. This event is part of the Intensive Research Program on Statistical Advances for Complex Data at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (CRM) in Bellaterra (Barcelona).
The aim of this workshop is to provide a meeting point for researchers, senior and junior, interested in statistical methodologies, analysis and computational problems arising from biomedical problems with large and complex datasets.

Abstract submission for oral and poster presentations
Contributed oral and poster presentations on biostatistical methods, in general, and with a special emphasis on methods, problems and solutions for large datasets from the biomedical field.
Deadline: October 25, 2015
Abstracts of oral and poster presentations should be submitted by e-mail to Neus Portet (nportet@crm.cat):

Accepted contributions will be eligible to submit an Extended Conference Abstract
The CRM Editorial Board will include an extended conference abstracts (ECA) in Volume 7 of the new subseriesResearch Perspectives CRM Barcelona of the Birkhäuser’s series Trends in Mathematics
The abstracts, with an extension of 2-4 pages, published in the ECA subseries will be quotable and its publication will not prevent further publication of the results contained in the abstracts by their authors in any form (more information athttp://www.crm.cat/en/Publications/Pages/Extended-Conference-Abstracts.aspx, see also http://www.springer.com/series/13332). The deadline for the recepction of the abstracts is January 15, 2016.
